Vacancy: Postdoctoral Researcher in Epidemiology and Biostatistics

The Järvelin and Sebert research group, at the University of Oulu's Centre for Life Course Health Research, is seeking a new postdoctoral researcher with excellent skills in longitudinal data analysis approaches in epidemiology. 

The successful candidate will join an international research team funded by the Academy of Finland and the European Union to contribute to a better understanding of the longitudinal processes in the ageing of the metabolic functions.

The new post offers an exciting opportunity to join the DynaHEALTH research community The funding period will be for two years starting on 1st February 2018.

The DynaHEALTH research community is a consortium of researchers based at the Faculty of Medicine, with the main aim to delineate the molecular and psycho-social pathways to life-long health by developing original solutions to model, predict, prevent and treat metabolic co-morbidities. The research in the department involves life-course modelling of large scale birth cohort data.

The new candidate will conduct research in a stimulating environment at the University of Oulu and within a network of teams from across Europe (DynaHEALTH and LifeCycle). Excellent communication skills in English are required.
