Early growth genetics and metabolic diseases
Funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, this symposium has been designed by the researchers of the Early Growth Genetic consortium. Chaired by Thorkild IA Sørensen of the Institute of Preventive Medicine, member of the DynaHEALTH consortium, the event will be held at the Novo Nordisk Foundation auditorium in Hellerup, Denmark on April 20th, 2016.
Themes covered by the symposium include:
- Genetics of early growth and their importance in the development of common metabolic diseases;
- The cross-over between genetic and epigenetic factors;
- The interplay between multiple lifestyle, social and biological factors, as well as developmental trajectories in health and disease.
Other DynaHEALTH researchers taking part in the symposium include Project Co-ordinator Marjo-Riitta Jarvelin from the University of Oulu, and Janine Felix of Erasmus Medical Centre.
